How it works
Connect to Gumroad
Link your Gumroad account once and start generating coupons instantly.
- – In your Gumroad Dashboard, go to Settings → Advanced and create a new Application.
- – Copy your Access Token — you’ll need it to connect the plugin.
- – Paste it inside the Gumroad Coupons tab on your Contact Form 7 form.
- – Click Save, then Check Connection to validate your token and fetch your products automatically.
- – Once connected, your Gumroad account stays securely linked — token is stored only in your WordPress database, never exposed publicly.
Configure your coupon settings
Choose your Gumroad product and customize how your discount codes are generated.
- – After connecting, your Gumroad products will appear automatically in the dropdown list.
- – Select the product for which you want to generate discount codes.
- – Set a coupon prefix (e.g. SUMMER) — it will appear before each generated code.
- – Choose the discount percentage and usage limit for each coupon.
- – Each time a form is submitted, the plugin creates a new Gumroad coupon and saves it in your Coupon Log with the user’s email for easy tracking.
- – You can view the full history of generated coupons directly in the Gumroad Coupons tab for that form.
Add the coupon to your autoresponder
Send each user their unique Gumroad discount code automatically after submission.
- – Activate the Mail (2) in your Contact Form 7 editor — this is your autoresponder email sent to users.
- – In the message body, add the special tag
[cf7g_coupon_code]where you want the generated code to appear. - – When someone submits the form, the plugin creates a new Gumroad coupon and inserts it into the outgoing email instantly.
- – You can fully customize the email design — greeting text, download links, images, or additional info — just keep the tag in place.
- – Each recipient gets a unique coupon linked to their submission, ensuring a seamless automated experience.
